Responsibilities include managing daily operations, coaching staff, refining advertising processes, monitoring campaigns and forecasts, and ensuring compliant, accurate listings and pricing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive experience with dealerships in Malaysia.
• At least 2 years in people management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of advertising processes and campaign execution.
• Excellent command of English and communication skills.

• Oversee budget and cost controls for dealership advertising and promotions.

The Classifieds Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the Classifieds & Listings sales strategy to strengthen iCar Asia’s position as the No. 1 automotive marketplace in Malaysia. The role leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing team of sales and servicing professionals to drive business growth, achieve revenue targets, and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Your Day-to-Day

Leadership & Management

• Manage daily branch or team operations while consistently achieving and exceeding sales target
• Lead sales training and coaching to equip the team for objections and effective market performance
• Develop and refine sales strategies, tools, and processes to improve team results
• Deliver accurate and timely weekly reporting and sales forecasts
• Ensures advertised inventory, pricing, and offers are accurate, compliant, and up to date
• Manage online listings across dealer and third-party platforms and monitor campaign performance
• Monitors advertising performance metrics (leads, conversions, cost per lead, ROI and Chabot leads) and adjusts strategies accordingly
• Provide clear direction on advertising, including featured products, pricing, trim levels, and merchandising, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment
• Ensures all advertising complies with manufacturer standards, brand guidelines, and legal requirements
• Coordinates with inventory management to align advertising with stock levels and aging inventory
• Reviews and approves content, messaging, and creative assets before release
• Manages or contributes to the dealership advertising budget and cost controls
• Supports sales team with advertising-driven promotions, events, and campaigns

Team Culture & Development

• Lead and mentor the team to achieve individual and collective performance goals.
• Oversee onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Conduct daily training on sales processes, negotiation, presentations, and digital tools.
• Monitor KPIs and maintain accurate sales pipelines.
• Drive revenue generation and maintain strong engagement with dealers.
• Educate clients on self-service options, including uploading inventories.
• Coordinate negotiations for large client contracts and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Gather market intelligence and client feedback to improve products, services, and marketing strategies.
• Conduct role-play sessions and coaching using data-driven scripts and sales pitches.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and to specification
• Complete additional projects or tasks as assigned by management

Your Know-How

• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive to dealerships in Malaysia, including at least 2 years in people management
• At least 2 years experience in senior sales or sales management
• Strong knowledge of advertising processes, strategies, and campaign execution
• Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
• Proficient in computer applications, internet, and software tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and email
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and presentation standards
• Strong numeracy skills and excellent command of English
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
