Job summary

Kobay Technology Bhd. is seeking a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive new business in the sheet metal and CNC sectors while nurturing existing client relationships.

The role requires frequent interaction with Chinese-speaking clients and a solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will prepare presentations and proposals, collaborate with production and engineering teams, and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in sheet metal, CNC, or fabrication.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work at Penang Island.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within sheet metal and CNC industries, and maintain/grow relationships with existing clients.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and quotations for fabricated components and services.

Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Sheet Metal / CNC

This role is focused on proactively driving new business opportunities within the sheet metal and CNC industries, while also maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, target-driven professional with technical understanding of manufacturing processes and strong sales skills.

(Proficiency in Chinese is required as the role involves frequent interaction with Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders.)

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities within the sheet metal and CNC industries and also maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and quotations for fabricated components and services.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure feasibility, pricing and delivery timelines.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients.

Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions and networking events.

Provide technical guidance to clients on manufacturing solutions in sheet metal and CNC processes.

Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.

What we are looking for:
