Job summary

Futon Supply in Malaysia seeks a Sales / Business Development Manager to expand the customer base and grow the electronic and wire harness components business.

You will identify new customers, broaden line cards, build long-term partnerships, and coordinate with purchasing and operations to meet pricing, availability, and delivery requirements. Mandarin proficiency is essential to engage with Chinese customers.

Qualifications

• Relevant sales or business development experience in electronic components or wire harness components.
• Strong understanding of component distribution and customer purchasing needs.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to serve customers in China.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to develop business independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers for electronic and wire harness components.
• Expand line card by identifying new brands, products, manufacturers, and supplier partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable component solutions.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on RFQs, negotiate commercial terms, and secure orders.
• Communicate with customers in China in Mandarin to discuss requirements and business opportunities.
• Work closely with purchasing and operations teams on pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain a sales pipeline and work towards agreed sales and business development targets.

About you
