Job summary

Hongrita Precision Component (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth in Malaysia. You will handle RFQ packages, coordinate with our China team for new projects, and perform market research to identify selling opportunities.

You will actively seek new sales through cold calling, networking, and social media. You will set up meetings, present our products, and prepare reviews with sales and financial data.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or relevant role.
• Fluent in Chinese, English and Malay; strong communication skills.
• Experience with CAD tools and interpreting drawings.
• Knowledge of DFM and tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle RFQ packages (3D data, 2D drawings, material specs, processes).
• Communicate with China team for new project kick-offs.
• Identify market opportunities and customer needs.
• Generate leads via cold calling, networking, and social media.
• Set up meetings and listen to client needs.
• Deliver presentations on products/services and provide regular reports.
• Represent the company at exhibitions/conferences.
• Assist Business Manager in negotiating/closing deals and handling complaints.
• Collaborate with team to improve results and share customer feedback.

Support Business Manager to handle RFQ, including verifying RFQ packages such as 3D data, 2D drawings, material specification, and manufacturing processes suitable for the products

To communicate with China’s team for new project kick-off-related activities

Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs

Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media

Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns

Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services

Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data

Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

Assist the Business Manager in negotiating/closing deals as well as handling complaints or objections

Collaborate with team members to achieve better results

Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams

Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or relevant role

Proficiency in Chinese, English, and Malay

Experienced in plastic multi-component injection and LSR

Excellent knowledge of CAD-related software would be a preference

Hands-on experience with DFM

Must be able to interpret technical drawings, GDT tolerance, etc.

Knowhow on tooling design and construction will be a plus

Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques

Fast learner and passion for learning

Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations

Own transport and a valid license is a must

Must be willing to travel (local and overseas)
