Job summary

IntelliPro in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a Sales Engineer to manage and grow existing customer accounts across Johor and Melaka, understanding client needs and recommending suitable industrial products and technical solutions with internal teams. You will prepare quotations and tender documents, negotiate terms, track orders, and pursue new business to hit sales targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of technical sales experience in industrial products; 6+ years for Senior level.
• Experience selling valves, actuators, pumps, piping, or flow-control products.
• Exposure to Oil & Gas, marine, manufacturing, chemical, or process industries is an advantage.
• Experience in managing existing accounts and developing new customers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Based in Johor, preferably around Johor Bahru and nearby industrial areas, able to cover Johor and Melaka.
• Must possess a valid driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities across Johor and Melaka.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and technical solutions in coordination with internal technical teams and principals.
• Prepare quotations, technical and commercial proposals, and tender documentation.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers.
• Monitor project progress, follow up on orders and deliveries, and coordinate after-sales support.
• Conduct customer visits, build long-term relationships, and identify new projects and market opportunities.
• Maintain sales pipelines, customer records, forecasts, and competitor information.
• Work towards assigned sales targets and business development objectives.
