Job summary

Our client, a well-established Malaysian company, is seeking a Sales Executive to identify and develop new business in a designated region, including the Kajang area. You will manage existing customers, learn manufacturing processes and costing to deliver tailored solutions.

You will build long-term relationships, negotiate tender terms, meet sales targets, coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in business administration, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in software for presentations, costing, and quotation preparation is preferred.
• Possess own vehicle and willing to travel outstations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in a designated region.
• Handle existing customers while learning about the manufacturing process, costing etc.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements.
• Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
• Follow up customer payment (debtor aging), PO / stock aging.
• Coordinate with internal team to ensure project / order delivery smoothly.
• Comply with rules and regulations imposed by various licensing authorities e.g. Customs, MIDA and MPKJ.
