Job summary

SGS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) to develop new business opportunities and expand key customer accounts across electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory and industrial sectors.

The role involves promoting SGS testing services, delivering solution presentations, quotations, and negotiations, and maintaining a robust CRM-driven sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, chemistry, electronics, business, marketing or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience.
• Experience in testing services, scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, or technical sales is an advantage.
• Experience serving electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory or industrial customers preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and grow customer accounts across electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory and industrial sectors.
• Promote SGS testing services by understanding customers' quality, regulatory and product compliance needs.
• Conduct visits, presentations, quotations and negotiations to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Prepare proposals, tenders and maintain an active sales pipeline through CRM.
• Collaborate with technical and lab teams to deliver testing solutions and excellent customer experience.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
