Job summary

SGS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) to develop new business opportunities and manage customer accounts across electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory, and industrial sectors.

You will promote SGS testing services by understanding customers' quality, regulatory, and product compliance requirements, and conduct visits, presentations, quotations and negotiations to meet sales targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Electronics, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience.
• Experience in testing services, scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, test & measurement, engineering solutions, or technical solution sales is an advantage.
• Experience serving electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial customers is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and grow customer accounts within the electronics, semiconductor, medical device, manufacturing, laboratory, and industrial sectors.
• Promote SGS testing services by understanding customers' quality, regulatory, and product compliance requirements.
• Conduct customer visits, solution presentations, quotations, negotiations, and follow-ups to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers while identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Prepare proposals, tender submissions, and maintain an active sales pipeline through CRM.
• Collaborate with technical and laboratory teams to deliver effective testing solutions and excellent customer experience.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
