Job summary

MEC-MART TOOLINGS SDN BHD is seeking a full-time Sales Engineer based in Skudai, Johor to engage with customers, understand needs, propose tooling solutions, prepare quotations and drive to close sales.

You will conduct product demonstrations, coordinate deliveries, and maintain CRM records, while traveling to customer sites as required to meet sales targets.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years in technical sales, preferably in tooling or machine tools.
• Diploma or degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and to customer sites.
• Hybrid work setup from office.

Job description

This is a full-time Sales Engineer role based in Skudai, Johor. The Sales Engineer will engage with existing and prospective customers to understand their technical needs, propose appropriate tooling solutions, prepare quotations, and follow up to close sales.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct product demonstrations and provide basic technical guidance to customers
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities and customer interactions in CRM or sales tracking tools
• Respond to customer inquiries and troubleshoot common product issues
• Support after-sales service activities
• Participate in sales meetings, forecasts, and reporting activities
• Build strong customer relationships and stay updated on product developments and market trends
• Contribute to achieving sales targets

About you

• Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to understand customer applications and recommend suitable tooling solutions
• Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service to manage the sales cycle, retain customers, and handle inquiries and complaints professionally
• Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and active listening
• Basic understanding of mechanical or manufacturing processes; diploma or degree in engineering or a related technical field is an advantage
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from office, manage time effectively, and travel to customer sites when required
• Comfort with using CRM or sales tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and online meeting tools
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• 2 to 3 years in technical sales, preferably in cutting tools, workholding, machine tools or Industrial automation
• Own transport, valid driving license and willing to travel within Malaysia
• Competitive basic salary plus sales commission and traveling allowance
