JEG Filtration in Malaysia is expanding its technical sales team. The role focuses on researching potential customers, qualifying leads, and building long-term relationships to drive filtration solutions across diverse industries.

You will collaborate with engineering and service teams to translate customer needs into technical proposals, discuss process challenges, and contribute to customer training and product optimization initiatives, supporting sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years working experience in a technical/engineering background.
• Familiarity with the filtration industry is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and opportunities.
• Identify and qualify leads and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
• Understand customer requirements and align them with product capabilities; build long-term relationships.
• Support external sales team by leading technical discussions with customers.
• Prepare technical proposals tailored to customer needs and assist in customization.
• Develop knowledge through internal product and applications training for colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research

• Research potential customers by analyzing their production processes and identifying opportunities where our products can be applied.
• Monitor industry trends and market demand to forecast product sales potential through online research and customer feedback.
• Gather market intelligence to support business development strategies.

Lead Generation

• Identify and qualify potential customers, particularly those with engineering and technical requirements.
• Generate and share qualified leads with the external sales team for follow-up.
• Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective customers.

Customer Relationship Management

• Understand customer requirements and align them with our product capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop the most suitable technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.

Technical Consultation

• Support the external sales team by organizing and leading technical discussions with customers.
• Work with end users to understand production challenges, process parameters, and validation requirements.
• Recommend suitable technical solutions based on customer applications and internal case studies.

Technical Proposal Development

• Prepare technical proposals tailored to customer requirements.
• Recommend equivalent product specifications where appropriate.
• Assist in developing customer-specific product customization and technical specifications.

Technical Knowledge & Training

• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of customer production processes and product applications.
• Understand industry standards, product specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct internal product and application training for colleagues across different industries.

Requirements:

• Background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years working experience in Technical (Engineering) background
• Familiarity with the filtration industry will be an added advantage
