Job summary

One Percent Academy in Malaysia seeks a proactive Sales professional to own the full sales cycle, from first contact to closing deals and beyond. You will engage with company HR teams and individuals, reporting to the Sales Director. Hybrid work arrangement with ongoing training from the founder.

You will target corporate and public training programmes, build a pipeline, and drive revenue through uncapped commissions while developing relationships with corporate clients and HRD Corp processes.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred, especially in training, B2B or service sales.
• Confident speaking on the phone and in person.
• Self-driven and comfortable working towards sales targets.
• Good English is required; Mandarin and/or Malay is an advantage.
• Own transport is preferred; willing to be trained if no experience.

Responsibilities

• Find new leads through calls, networking, social media and referrals.
• Reach out to HR managers and business owners.
• Understand client needs and recommend the right programme.
• Explain HRD Corp funding and guide clients through the claim process.
• Prepare proposals and quotations; close deals and follow up until payment.
• Sell at events, previews and workshops; maintain client relationships and referrals.
• Keep sales records updated and report progress weekly.

We are a HRDC Accredited Training Provider in Petaling Jaya.

We run both corporate and public training programmes for companies and individuals.

We are a sales-driven company. We teach sales, and we live it.

About the role

You will sell our training programmes to company HR teams and to individuals. You will own the full sales cycle, from first contact to closed deal and beyond. You will work with and report directly to the Sales Director.

What you will do

• Find new leads through calls, networking, social media and referrals
• Reach out to HR managers and business owners
• Understand each client's needs and recommend the right programme
• Explain how HRD Corp funding works and guide clients through the claim process
• Prepare proposals and quotations
• Close deals and follow up until payment
• Sell at our events, previews and workshops
• Keep in touch with past clients for repeat business and referrals
• Keep your sales records updated and report progress weekly

Who we are looking for

• Sales experience is preferred, especially in training, B2B (business-to-business) or service sales
• Confident speaking on the phone and in person
• Self-driven and comfortable working towards sales targets
• Able to work independently in a hybrid setup
• Good English is required. Mandarin and/or Malay is an advantage
• Own transport is preferred

Work arrangement

• Hybrid: 3 days in the office per week
• Extra office days may be needed for client meetings or events
• Occasional evening or weekend events may be required
