Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Clerk to join the team at Banzen Motors Sdn Bhd in Klebang, Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our retail environment. As a Sales Clerk, you will be at the front line of our business, assisting customers with their enquiries and purchases whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and product knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a warm and professional manner
• Assist customers in locating products and provide product information and recommendations
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Handle cash and card payments securely and maintain till accountability
• Stock shelves and displays, ensuring products are arranged neatly and attractively
• Monitor inventory levels and alert management to low stock items
• Maintain a clean and organised sales floor and checkout area
• Answer customer queries and handle complaints professionally and courteously
• Support promotional activities and ensure promotional materials are correctly displayed
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling cash and processing transactions
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift items as required
• A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends if required
• Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience
