About the role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our sales team at our Melaka location. This is a full‑time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our sales operations and ensuring outstanding customer experiences. As a Sales Assistant, you will be instrumental in helping to drive sales, manage customer inquiries, and contribute to a welcoming dealership environment. This role is essential to our sales success and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in the automotive sales industry.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers visiting the dealership with professionalism and courtesy
• Provide product information and assistance to prospective buyers, answering questions about vehicle features and specifications
• Support the sales team by organising paperwork, managing customer records, and maintaining accurate documentation
• Schedule test drives and manage appointment bookings for customers and sales representatives
• Process sales enquiries and forward leads to appropriate sales team members
• Assist in preparing vehicles for display and maintaining the showroom in a clean and professional condition
• Follow up with customers on behalf of the sales team to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in our management systems
• Coordinate with administrative and finance teams to ensure smooth transaction processing
• Support promotional activities and help achieve dealership sales targets

What we’re looking for

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Malay
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to help clients
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Proficiency in using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
• A professional and well‑groomed appearance
• Sales or customer service experience in a retail or automotive environment is preferred
• Ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative and independent problem‑solving
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards workBasic knowledge of automotive products and features is advantageous but not essential
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in sales and customer relations
