Job summary

Hwa Hin Sdn Bhd, a registered Civil Engineering and Building Construction company established in 1983, is seeking a QESSH professional to assist in implementing and maintaining the QESSH Management System across projects in Malaysia. The role ensures compliance with international standards, local regulations, codes of practice, and legal requirements.

You will collaborate with project teams to improve safety at work, coordinate internal audits and training, and liaise with authorities to resolve

Qualifications

• Must possess NIOSH Occupational Safety and Health Officer certificate.
• DOSH SHO (Green Book) valid certification required.
• Construction site experience with EH&S focus.

Job description

Assist in implementing and maintaining the Company’s Quality, Environmental, Safety/Security and Health (QESSH) Management System to ensure that it is in compliance with relevant statutory requirements at all times, including the International Standards, local regulations, code of practices, and legal requirements.

Assist to ensure the effective implementation of construction planning activity from pre-contract to construction.

Collaborate with the project team to improve safety aspects at work.

Involved in improving security, public safety, and traffic management.

Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure that any ESH matter is resolved promptly and effectively.

Liaise with relevant internal and external parties on documentation issues (e.g., discrepancies in the documents) about ESH.

Act as the Company’s representative on QESSH matters with auditors, clients, sub-contractors, and relevant parties.

Provide sound advice and guidance to support the effective operations of the QESSH Management System.

Assist in preparing the summary of QESSH Management System implementation for the Management Review Meeting.

Assist in continually improving the QESH Management System by coordinating and/or conducting regular internal audits, awareness briefings, campaigns, training, and induction programs.

Participate and coordinate in Workplace ESH Committee Meetings.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a competency of NIOSH Occupational Safety and Health Officer Certificates (DOSH SHO Valid Green Book Holder).
• The Competency is valid and must be free from being used by other projects.
• Not involved in fatal accident cases in previous projects.
• Familiar with DOSH, CIDB, DOE, PBT, and other authorities' requirements that involve site work.
• Required to have relevant Construction experience.
