Job summary

GREEN PLUS CONSULTANCY (M) SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks a Safety Officer to ensure OSH compliance on project sites. You will conduct inspections, enforce PPE, run toolbox talks, and monitor heavy machinery safety.

The role requires a degree in OSH, at least 5 years in construction or manufacturing, and valid SHO with DOSH/JKKP, CIDB and NTSP registrations. Candidates must communicate well and be willing to work on-site.

Qualifications

• Degree in OSH or related field.
• At least 5 years in construction/manufacturing.
• Valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book (SHO), CIDB and NTSP.
• Registered SHO with DOSH/JKKP.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation and construction safety.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSH compliance with DOSH/JKKP regulations and project procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Monitor workers for PPE compliance and safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inductions.
• Inspect heavy machinery, plant and equipment for safety.
• Implement hazard controls and perimeter safety measures.
• Prepare and maintain safety docs, inspection reports, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and participate in drills.

Job description

Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements, DOSH/JKKP regulations, and project safety procedures.

Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

Monitor and ensure workers comply with PPE and safety requirements.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inductions.

Conduct routine inspections on heavy machinery, plant, and equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.

Implement effective hazard control measures and site perimeter safety to safeguard the public and workers.

Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation, inspection reports, risk assessments, and incident reports.

Investigate workplace accidents/incidents and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure emergency preparedness and participate in emergency response activities.

Requirements:

Minimum Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or any related field.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in the construction or manufacturing industry.

Possess a valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book (SHO), CIDB and NTSP

Registered as a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH/JKKP.

Good knowledge of Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health legislation and construction safety requirements.

Able to work independently and communicate effectively with workers and project teams.
