Job summary

Inazume (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to lead and oversee EHS compliance at construction sites. You will monitor high-risk activities, develop safety plans, and ensure that all workers and subcontractors comply with safety regulations.

As a key member, you will coordinate resources, conduct safety audits, and manage EHS personnel. Your background as a Registered Safety and Health Officer with strong communication and leadership skills will be vital in this role.

Qualifications

Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with valid registration.
Good knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health legislation.
Experience in construction/project EHS management.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee overall EHS compliance at the construction site.
Develop, review, and monitor HIRARC/JSA and Method Statements.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walkabouts.
Monitor high-risk activities including work at height and machinery.
Lead toolbox meetings and EHS awareness programmes.
Coordinate with the Project Team on upcoming activities and requirements.
Plan and manage EHS resources and manpower requirements.
Supervise site safety personnel and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate emergency response and site ERT arrangements.

Job description

Lead and oversee overall EHS compliance at the construction site. Ensure compliance with applicable DOSH/JKKP, OSHA, CIDB, client and company EHS requirements.

Key responsibilities

Develop, review and monitor HIRARC/JSA, Method Statements, PTW and EHS plans

Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety walkabouts

Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, lifting, machinery, excavation, hot work and confined space activities

Lead toolbox meetings, safety induction, OJT and EHS awareness programmes

Coordinate weekly with the Project Team on upcoming activities, work progress and EHS requirements

Plan and manage EHS resources, including manpower requirements and duty rosters

Supervise and guide SSS, Safety Supervisors, OSH-C, EHS Admin and other site safety personnel

Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with PPE, PTW and site safety requirements

Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented

Coordinate emergency response, drills and site ERT arrangements

About you

Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH/JKKP Malaysia, where required for the position

Valid SHO competency/registration as applicable

Good knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health legislation and construction safety requirements

Experience in construction/project EHS management

Strong leadership, communication, coordination and reporting skills
