Job summary

Ohm in Malaysia is seeking a Safety and Health Officer responsible for managing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance for construction projects. The role requires collaboration with project stakeholders and conducting site inspections and audits.

Candidates must hold a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields, be registered with DOSH Malaysia, and have strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

Safety and Health Officer

JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage overall Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance for construction activities in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational safety, health and environmental regulations and standards.

Collaborate with the EHS manager, project manager, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of construction projects.

Prepare and compile report submissions to relevant authorities relating to environmental, health, and safety matters.

Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, hazard identification, risk assessments, and implement control measures in accordance with HIRARC requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related fields.

Must be a registered Safety and Health Officer with DOSH Malaysia.

2-3 years of experience in construction safety environment is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of occupational safety regulations, EHS compliance requirements, and risk management practices.

Good communication skills for reporting and training.

Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal & written).
