Shiangly Builder Sdn Bhd in Bukit Mertajam is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to ensure project safety compliance and lead safety plans for construction sites. You will conduct inspections, risk assessments, inductions and safety meetings while liaising with DOSH and other authorities.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, a Green Book, and at least 5 years of relevant construction experience, preferably in high-rise projects.

Qualificações

• Diploma, Degree or Professional Qualification in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) recognised by DOSH.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Experience in high-rise residential/commercial projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
• Dynamic, proactive and responsible with strong safety commitment.
• Good communication, interpersonal and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, company policies and project safety requirements.

• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification and safety audits.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with approved safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings and safety awareness programmes.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with DOSH, CIDB and other authorities on safety matters.
• Attend site and safety meetings and prepare safety reports and related documentation.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with project safety requirements.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Experience in high-rise residential or commercial building projects will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of OSHA requirements, safety regulations and construction safety practices.

Dynamic, proactive and responsible with a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Good communication, interpersonal and reporting skills.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
