Job summary

SEMARAK GEO ENTERPRISE is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to ensure safe working practices and full compliance with safety requirements at our construction sites in Malaysia. You will monitor site safety and health compliance, conduct regular site inspections, prepare and review HIRARC and safety procedures, and ensure workers and subcontractors follow PPE rules.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of construction site safety and HIRARC.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and be hands-on at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure site safety and health compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Prepare and review HIRARC and safety procedures.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety inductions.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as scaffolding, lifting, excavation and electrical works.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Maintain safety records, reports and documentation.
• Conduct safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and safety drills.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, consultants and relevant authorities on safety matters.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP and applicable occupational safety and health requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture among workers on site.

Job description

Requirements

Valid DOSH/JKKP Safety & Health Officer (SHO) / Green Book.

Good knowledge of construction site safety and HIRARC.

Able to work independently and be hands-on at construction sites.

CIDB registration is an advantage.

Salary: RM5500 – RM7500/month, depending on experience and qualifications.
