Job summary

MALAYSIA STEEL WORKS (KL) BHD is seeking a Steel Worker to operate and monitor finishing mill stands in accordance with production schedules and SOPs. You will adjust roll gaps, ensure dimensional accuracy, and work closely with QC to maintain bar quality.

The role requires 3–5 years in steel, willingness to work shifts, and transport to Bukit Raja, Klang, Selangor. Prior experience with rolling processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, STPM, or related certificates.
• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the steel industry or related environment.
• Strong technical understanding of the rolling process.
• Willing to work shift hours, weekends and public holidays.
• Possess own transport and be willing to work at Bukit Raja, Klang.

Responsibilities

• Monitor finishing mill stands according to the production schedule and SOP.
• Set and adjust roll gap, guide alignment, and roll pass.
• Monitor bar shape, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
• Take corrective actions when mis-rolls or a defect occurs.
• Assist in roll changing and guide replacement when required.
• Coordinate with QC on monitoring bar weight and quality.
• Any other job related to the rolling mill as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
