Job summary

MALAYSIA STEEL WORKS (KL) BHD is seeking a QC inspector at our Bukit Raja, Klang facility to monitor outgoing bars for quality, record defects and weights, and tag bundles with accurate information.

You will conduct tensile and bend tests on deformed bars, keep traceable records, and assist the production team to address discrepancies before exceeding two bundles. The role requires shift work, weekends, and public holidays, with own transport to site.

Qualifications

• Must pass SPM or have a Diploma in a related field.
• 1-2 years QC experience is an added advantage.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Own transport to Bukit Raja, Klang.
• Good health to work in a steel manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outgoing bars are of good quality and within specifications.
• Record defects and weights of deformed bars and tag bundles with correct information.
• Inform production team of discrepancies before exceeding 2 bundles.
• Conduct tensile and bend tests on deformed bars and maintain records for tracing purposes.
• Handle housekeeping at the workstation when production stops.

Job description

1. To ensure all the outgoing bars are of good quality, within specifications, and follow customers' requirements

2. Ensure all the defects and weights of the deformed bars were recorded accordingly. The bundle shall be tagged with the correct information

3. Inform the production team (pulpit) of any discrepancy found at the workstation before exceeding a maximum of 2 bundles

4. To conduct tensile tests and bend tests of the deformed bar and make sure they are within specification. All records shall be kept for tracing purposes

5. Handle housekeeping at the workstation when production stops

Job Requirements:

1. Have good health to work in a steel manufacturing company

2. Having at least 1-2 years of working experience as QC will be an added advantage

3. Pass SPM (good at basic mathematics) or a Diploma in any related field

4. Willing to work on shift schedules, weekends, and public holidays

5. Possess own transport to work at Bukit Raja, Klang
