Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a billing-focused professional to join our Freight Forwarding team in Malaysia. You will coordinate with Operations and Pricing to ensure accurate invoicing, manage supporting documents, and support month-end billing closure.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely communications, and collaboration across teams. You will handle invoices, PODs, reporting, and driver salary processes, contributing to efficient revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in customer service, billing, or freight forwarding operations.
• Experience with customer accounts, billing reports, invoicing, and billing-related queries.
• Background in any freight forwarding modality (Air, Ocean, Road, or Contract Logistics).
• Strong communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday (alternate Saturdays) and support overtime when required.

Manage supporting documents, PODs, billing reports, driver salary processing, and ensure month-end billing closure within the agreed timelines.

How you create impact

• Operational / Tactical duties Coordinate daily billing activities with Operations and Pricing teams, generate and submit invoices with supporting documents, and manage PODs. Follow up on pending billing, driver salary processing, customer billing reports, and ensure timely month-end closure.
• Leadership Responsibility Coordinate closely with Operations, Pricing, and Billing teams to ensure timely completion of billing activities. Take ownership of pending issues, follow up with relevant stakeholders, and ensure billing deadlines and customer requirements are met.
• Customer / Commercial Responsibility Ensure customer invoices are accurate and aligned with agreed rates and commercial terms. Coordinate billing queries, supporting documents, and periodic reports, and follow up on billing issues to ensure timely resolution and payment.
• Financial Responsibility Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to support revenue recognition and month-end financial closure. Monitor pending and unbilled items, resolve billing discrepancies, and support timely driver salary processing.
• Strategic Responsibility Support continuous improvement of billing processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time. Identify recurring billing issues and work with relevant teams to implement process improvements and meet business objectives.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in customer service, billing, or freight forwarding operations.
• Experience in handling customer accounts, billing reports, invoicing, and billing-related queries.
• Background in any freight forwarding modality (Air, Ocean, Road, or Contract Logistics) is welcome.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday (alternate Saturdays) and support overtime when required.
