Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Malaysia (Shah Alam) is seeking an experienced freight forwarding professional to manage end-to-end airfreight shipments, ensuring timely execution and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams in a 24/7 environment, driving improvements and delivering quality service for healthcare customers.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, risk mitigation, and collaboration across functions while supporting cost control and revenue

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in air freight operations or freight forwarding, preferably handling time-critical shipments.
• Strong knowledge of shipment documentation, regulatory compliance, carrier coordination, and operational processes.
• Good customer service, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and support 24/7 operational or emergency shipment requirements when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of air freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Monitor time-critical shipments to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate booking arrangements with carriers and service providers.
• Ensure timely preparation and verification of shipping documentation.
• Proactively identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to prevent service failures.
• Manage shipment milestones and update customers and stakeholders on shipment status.
• Support 24/7 operational requirements and emergency shipment handling when required.
• Act as a SME for airfreight logistics processes and compliance.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure adherence to operational SOPs.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Deliver high-quality customer service aligned with agreed service levels.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and shipment exceptions.
• Support customer reviews and operational meetings.
• Manage escalation cases and provide timely resolutions.
• Build strong working relationships with key healthcare customers.

Manage end-to-end export and import shipments, ensuring accurate and timely execution in line with customer transit time requirements. Coordinate closely with Customer Care, Carriers, Gateways, Warehouses, Customs, Billing, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless operational execution. Deliver exceptional service in a 24/7 operational environment, making timely and accurate decisions to support mission-critical shipments.

How you create impact

Operational / Tactical duties
