Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Shah Alam is seeking a Site Manager to lead both warehouse operations and the people who run them, building strong customer partnerships and driving operational excellence.

You will shape a safe, high-performing site, coach teams, onboard new customers, and contribute to tenders and growth initiatives across distribution, engineering and business development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in Contract Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Operations.
• Experience leading warehouse operations in Site Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.
• Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience driving Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Operational Excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead all warehouse and office operations to achieve safety, operational, financial, and customer performance objectives.
• Drive performance across key operational KPIs, including Safety, Cost, Quality, Delivery, Environment, and People.
• Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring employees are appropriately trained, engaged, and supported.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Lead and develop high-performing operational teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Drive customer onboarding, retention, and operational excellence initiatives to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Champion continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, process optimisation, and innovative operational solutions.
• Support business growth by contributing operational expertise to customer tenders and new business proposals.
• Work collaboratively with Distribution, Customer Solutions, Engineering, and Business Development teams to ensure seamless logistics solutions.
• Monitor productivity, resource planning, and operational performance to maximise efficiency while maintaining service excellence.
• Build strong relationships with customers through regular engagement, performance reviews, and proactive problem-solving.

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience in Contract Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Operations.
• Previous experience leading warehouse operations as a Site Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Demonstrated success managing operational KPIs across safety, service, productivity, and cost.
• Strong people leadership with experience coaching and developing operational teams.
• Excellent customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience driving Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of customer contracts, budgets, and operational performance.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse automation technologies is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
