Job summary

Hock Teo Hin Trading Company in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Representative to promote and sell its rice products to supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, and other retailers. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers and regularly visit them to take orders and identify opportunities.

You will provide professional customer service, handle orders, inquiries, and after-sales support, and follow up on payments.

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement
• Sales experience in FMCG/food products is an advantage
• Experience in rice or food product sales is an added advantage; training will be provided
• Self-motivated, responsible and result-oriented
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to build and maintain good relationships with customers
• Able to work independently and visit customers regularly
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Willing to travel for customer visits and sales activities
• Possess a valid driving license; own transport is an added advantage
• Committed to achieving sales and collection targets

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell the company’s rice products to supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, food outlets, wholesalers, and other retail and commercial customers
• Maintain good relationships with existing customers and actively develop new customers
• Visit customers regularly to introduce products, take orders, and identify new sales opportunities
• Provide professional customer service, including order taking, product enquiries, and after-sales support
• Follow up on customer accounts and ensure timely collection of payments
• Monitor customer orders, stock requirements, and product demand
• Assist in sales promotions, marketing activities, and new product introductions
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences
• Prepare basic sales reports and provide regular market feedback to management
• Work closely with the warehouse and delivery team to ensure orders are processed and delivered smoothly
