Job summary

Tong Woh Enterprise Sdn Bhd is seeking a passionate Wine Retailer to join our Retail Store in Johor Bahru. You will provide wine and spirits recommendations, engage with customers, and help achieve store sales targets while maintaining product knowledge and store presentation.

The role requires you to understand customer preferences, assist with stock, promotions, and wine tastings, and deliver an exceptional retail experience in a dynamic alcohol beverages environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM education with 2+ years' related experience.
• Strong understanding of alcohol, wine and spirits products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in selecting wines based on preferences, occasions and budget.
• Provide wine and spirit recommendations and explain varieties/regions.
• Maintain knowledge of the wine portfolio, promotions, and new products.
• Achieve store sales targets through customer engagement and product recommendations.
• Ensure proper display, labeling, pricing and stock levels.
• Support stock receiving, inventory checks and replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the store.
• Support promotions, tastings, launches and retail marketing activities.
• Build relationships with customers and provide excellent after-sales service.
• Handle customer feedback professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Wine Retailer to join our Retail Store at JB. This role is responsible for providing professional wine and spirits recommendations, building strong customer relationships, and driving sales performance within our retail outlet.

The role involves engaging with customers to understand their preferences, occasions, and budget, recommending suitable wines and alcoholic beverages, and maintaining strong product knowledge across the Company's portfolio. You will also be responsible for supporting promotional activities, wine tasting events, product launches, stock management, and maintaining the overall presentation of the retail outlet.

Main responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in selecting wines based on their preferences, occasions, and budget.
• Provide recommendations and explain wine varieties and regions.
• Maintain good knowledge of the Company's wine portfolio, new products, promotions, and ongoing campaigns.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets through effective customer engagement and product recommendations.
• Ensure wines and other products are properly displayed, labelled, priced, and well-stocked.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock receiving, inventory checks, and stock replenishment.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and overall presentation of the retail outlet.
• Assist in promotional activities, wine tasting events, product launches, and other retail marketing activities.
• Build good relationships with customers and provide excellent after-sales service.
• Handle customer feedback and assist in resolving customer concerns professionally.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:

• At least SPM and above from any academic with minimum 2 years' experience in related field.
• Strong understanding of alcohol, wine and spirits products.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and customer-oriented personality.
• Able to confidently engage with customers and provide suitable product recommendations.
• Fluency in multiple languages (e.g., Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Cantonese) is an advantage.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Comfortable working in ALCOHOL beverages industry.
