Job summary

Samsonite Latinoamérica seeks an experienced Retail Operations Manager to drive sales performance across department stores, specialty stores and hypermarkets in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead store teams, monitor KPIs, and partner with franchise networks to deliver superior customer experiences.

You will oversee operations, stock management, visual merchandising and events, ensuring brand standards are met while coaching staff to improve productivity and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years retail operations experience with at least 1 year in multi-store retail managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management, and customer service.
• Independent and able to work under pressure.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven with “can do” attitude.

Responsibilities

DESCRIPCIóN DE PUESTO

• Support the Sales & Operations Manager in driving sales performance and achieving sales targets across assigned department stores, specialty stores and hypermarkets.
• Drive sales performance of assigned stores and ensure achievement of sales, productivity and operational KPIs.
• Work closely with franchise partners to support sales performance, promotions and business growth.
• Monitor store performance, market trends, competitor activities, promotions and customer feedback and provide regular updates to the Sales & Operations Manager.
• Identify sales opportunities and recommend appropriate actions to improve store performance.
• Work closely with department stores, specialty stores and hypermarkets to maximize sales opportunities, promotions and events.

Sales Management

• Support the Sales & Operations Manager in driving sales performance and achieving sales targets across assigned department stores, specialty stores and hypermarkets.

Customer Experience

• Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service and consistent brand experience across assigned stores.
• Drive customer engagement and clienteling to strengthen customer relationships and build long-term loyalty.
• Support store events, promotions and brand activations to drive customer traffic and sales.
• Work with franchise partners to support brand standards and customer experience.

People Management

• Lead, coach and motivate sales teams to improve productivity, performance and overall team effectiveness.
• Support the Sales & Operations Manager in managing and developing Area Supervisors and sales teams.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, selling skills, product knowledge and service standards across assigned stores.
• Conduct regular store visits to monitor staff performance against KPIs, provide coaching and identify development needs.
• Work closely with the Sales & Operations Manager and Training team to support staff training and development.

Retail Operations

• Support the Sales & Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations across assigned department stores, specialty stores and hypermarkets.
• Ensure proper stock management, replenishment, visual merchandising and counter/store presentation.
• Ensure stores comply with brand guidelines, operational procedures and department store requirements.
• Maintain strong working relationships with PICs and department stores, specialty stores and hypermarket management.
• Work closely with the Sales & Operations Manager to support franchise partners on operational, stock, VM and business matters.
• Work closely with internal teams, including Brand, Marketing and Customer Service to ensure smooth execution of business initiatives.
• Prepare regular sales reports and performance analysis and provide market insights and feedback to the Sales & Operations Manager.
• Support ad-hoc projects and business initiatives assigned by the Sales & Operations Manager or management.

Education

Minimum Diploma / Degree Holders

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years retail operations experience with at least 1 year in multi stores retail managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management, and customer service
• Good team player, committed, flexible, multi-tasking, and strong analytical skills
• Independent and able to work under pressure
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven with “can do” attitude

Computer Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Language

• Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be added advantage
