Job summary

HABIB Group in Malaysia seeks a Senior Manager, Learning and Development to design, implement, and evaluate retail training for front-end and back-end teams. You will lead a high-performing trainers group and collaborate with stakeholders to meet strategic goals.

You will develop content and delivery methods, oversee talent programs (Graduates/Interns), and ensure compliant, effective learning across the organization. Extensive travel within the country is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business, Admin/Management, or Education; equivalent certification acceptable.
• At least 7 years in learning and development or trainer roles, with leadership of trainer teams.
• HRD Corp certified and accredited trainer preferred; teaching adults advantageous.
• Strong English and Bahasa Melayu, written and verbal; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design courses and deliver various learning interventions (onsite, classroom, remote).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the group’s L&D strategy and policies aligned with long-term goals.
• Design, implement, and evaluate retail training programs for front-end and back-end teams.
• Coordinate Graduate and Internship programs, including hiring and placement.
• Create training materials, assess effectiveness, and drive data-driven improvements.
• Travel frequently within Malaysia to deliver and oversee programs.
