Job summary

Astro is expanding its presence in Malaysia's retail sector by appointing a Business Development Manager to drive growth through new and existing partners. You will onboard SMEs, train partners, and work with marketing to execute compelling campaigns that boost product sales and brand consistency.

You will cultivate long-term relationships with retailers, monitor performance, and adapt strategies to meet ambitious KPIs, traveling as needed to oversee growth in Sarawak and nearby regions.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, retail sales, or partner management.
• Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of retail ecosystems, especially SMEs.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow Astro product sales in retail channels.
• Identify, engage, and onboard new retail partners, especially small to mid-sized businesses.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and business objectives.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with existing retail partners.
• Provide ongoing support, training, and tools to ensure retail partners can effectively sell Astro products and services.
• Monitor partner performance and implement improvement plans when needed.
• Explore new market segments and regions for retail growth.
• Analyze retail sales performance and market trends.
• Collaborate with internal marketing teams to launch and support promotional campaigns at retail locations.
• Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all retail touchpoints.
