Job summary

The GMP Group is seeking an experienced F&B Project Manager to oversee restaurant construction, renovations and refurbishments from planning to opening and handover. You will coordinate internal stakeholders, designers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, landlords and authorities to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with brand standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience managing F&B construction, renovation or restaurant-opening projects.
• Experience with restaurant groups, franchises or multi-outlet F&B operations is highly advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Good understanding of restaurant layouts, kitchen requirements, building services and facilities maintenance.
• Familiarity with Malaysia building, fire-safety, food-shop licensing and landlord requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage new restaurant openings, renovations, reinstatements and improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, budgets and implementation plans.
• Monitor progress closely, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that works meet approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate architectural, interior design, kitchen, mechanical and electrical, plumbing, fire-safety and building requirements.
• Use AutoCAD and SketchUp to review, interpret and make basic amendments to drawings.
• Coordinate submissions, approvals and requirements with landlords, consultants and relevant Singapore authorities.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates and cash-flow requirements.
• Source and evaluate quotations from contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear records of decisions, responsibilities and deadlines.
• Ensure contractors comply with workplace safety, building-management and project-site requirements.
• Work closely with Operations, Culinary, Marketing and Procurement teams to prepare each outlet for opening.
