Job summary

MSI Academy SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Resort/Hotel Manager to helm operations at our Lumut, Perak and Kota Tinggi properties. You will lead all daily activities, optimize revenue, and ensure outstanding guest experiences across front and back-of-house functions.

The role requires 5+ years in hospitality management, strong financial oversight, and a proven track record of staff leadership. English fluency is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in hospitality, preferably resort/hotel.
• Proven track record of leading large teams and delivering operational excellence.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, revenue management and cost control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate staff.
• Exceptional customer service mindset focused on guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of hospitality management systems and software applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making under pressure.
• Certification in hospitality management is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operational activities of the resort or hotel, front-of-house and back-of-house.
• Supervise staff across departments, ensuring high performance and development.
• Monitor and maintain guest service and facility quality standards.
• Develop strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage budgets, financial performance and revenue optimisation for the property.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Build relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives to boost occupancy and revenue.
• Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to maintain standards.
