Job summary

Oriental Yuhong is actively expanding its market presence in East Malaysia. As one of the first sales hires in the region, you will build the local distribution network, establish strategic customer relationships, and drive sustainable sales growth across Sabah, Sarawak, and surrounding markets.

You will develop new channels, negotiate agreements, analyze market trends, and collaborate with marketing, operations, and the supply chain to execute market plans.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Based in East Malaysia with strong knowledge of local market.
• 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials, construction chemicals, waterproofing, or related industries.
• Established local customer or distribution network is highly desirable.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setup.
• Willing and able to travel within East Malaysia as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new sales channels across East Malaysia, including distributors, dealers, retailers, and key accounts.
• Build and strengthen the local sales and distribution network.
• Identify and develop new business partners and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, margins, sales targets, payment terms, and partnership agreements.
• Analyze market opportunities, competitors, customer needs, and channel trends.
• Drive product penetration, market coverage, and sales growth.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure effective market execution.
• Provide regular updates on sales performance, channel development, forecasts, and market feedback.
