Job summary

Keywords Studios seeks an accomplished Concept Artist to shape the visual identity of a stylised game project. You will create concepts for characters, vehicles, environments and props, translating direction into clear designs for production.

You’ll collaborate with the Art Director and cross-disciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive visual language, deliver production-ready artwork, and contribute to the project’s overall visual quality while operating in a contract, remote-friendly setup in

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concept Artist within games or related field.
• Strong portfolio showing stylised concept art for characters, vehicles and environments.
• Excellent stylised design, shape language, silhouette, colour and composition.
• Strong drawing and digital painting skills with clear idea communication.
• Ability to move from ideation to production-ready concepts.
• Solid understanding of form, perspective, anatomy, proportion, lighting and colour theory.
• Ability to create visually appealing designs that fit downstream 3D production.
• Comfortable working across characters and environments and collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Creates high-quality concept art for characters, vehicles, environments and props.
• Develops designs supporting the project’s stylised visual direction.
• Explores ideas through sketches, thumbnails, silhouettes and colour studies.
• Maintains a clear visual language with the Art Director across the project.
• Produces production-ready concepts with callouts, turnarounds and references.
• Creates paintovers and visual solutions to support 3D artists.
• Helps establish visual benchmarks and contributes to project quality.
• Interprets Art Director’s vision and iterates on feedback while keeping design intent.
• Collaborates with multiple art disciplines to ensure concepts translate to gameplay.
