Job summary

Glow Production is seeking an experienced concept artist to craft stylish and cute character concepts for our game pipeline. You will translate direction into high-quality concept art and ensure finishes meet professional standards.

Collaborate with leads and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive visuals, mentor junior artists when needed, and manage tasks with reliable deadline delivery. Willingness to work onsite or relocate within SEA is preferred, with priority for Malaysian artists.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a concept artist in a professional setting.
• Experience in core game development is required.
• Background in arts with diploma, degree, or self-taught.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and lighting.

Job description

• Stylized Design Expertise:Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in stylized and cute character concept design.
• Create high-quality concept artwork for game production.
• Ability to design and render high finishing design artwork that meets professional standards.
• Adaptable and skilled in solving design challenges.
• Work closely with leads, teammates and other departments to deliver cohesive and impactful concept art.
• Independently manage tasks, personal schedule, and consistently meet deadlines effectively.
• Act as a mentor for junior artists when required for specific projects and tasks.

Requirements

• 4+ years as a concept artist in a professional setting.
• Possess experience in core game development.
• Background in arts, either through a diploma, degree, or self-taught.
• Strong understanding of art fundamentals, including anatomy, perspective, color theory, and lighting.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and other relevant digital tools.
• Open to talents from SEA countries, with priority given to Malaysian artist.
• Willingness to work onsite or relocate.

Bonus

• Familiarity with other 2D & 3D software such as Blender, 3D Coat, Substance Painter, and similar tools.

Additional information

• Full-time, Fixed Term or Freelance contract.
