Job summary

GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior Maintenance & Reliability Lead in Malaysia to oversee planning, reliability, and shutdown management. You will head the workshop and piping teams, drive condition monitoring programs, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high plant availability and safe operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, data-driven maintenance decisions, and continuous improvements in lubrication, RCAs, and maintenance processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years in maintenance, reliability, shutdown planning, or heavy industrial maintenance.
Experience in paper mills, process plants, or heavy manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, reliability, maintenance support, workshop and piping functions to improve plant availability.
Plan and govern plant shutdowns including scope, scheduling, resource allocation, and post-mortem reviews.
Develop and standardize maintenance planning processes, workflows, and reporting tools.
Drive reliability programs including condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and lubrication excellence.
Manage in-house workshop and piping teams, ensuring effective support for maintenance and overhaul projects.
Lead RCA and reliability improvement initiatives for critical equipment failures.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Safety, contractors, and vendors to ensure readiness and project success.
Develop SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, and maintenance procedures.
