Job summary

Liberty Specialty Markets in Malaysia seeks an experienced Business Operations Leader to drive regional non-motor strategy and performance. You will partner with sales, agency networks and HQ to shape plans, recruit and develop high-performing teams, and ensure disciplined governance.

The role requires at least 10+ years in non-motor insurance, regional exposure, and a strong business acumen. Degree or related qualification is required; you will lead cross‑functional initiatives, monitor agency

Qualifications

• 10 years or more of relevant experience in non-motor business.
• Preferably regional and agency experience.
• Strong business acumen with strategic insights.
• Minimum of Degree or related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning with sales team and provide direction for non motor business for the region.
• Initiate plans to cover anticipated production shortfall (if any).
• Monitor agency recruitment progress, recruit/assist sales team to recruit and opening up the market
• Provide assistance/guidance to new agents and focusing on larger channels of business (regular visits) on developing business.
• Conduct periodic review of agencies performance and provide justification on matters raised.
• Respond to various requests from customers/agents/HQ.
• Ensure effective and efficient administration of day to day business operations in line with SOP across all support functions
• Ensure consistency with enterprise risk management guidelines
• Ensure compliance with regulations and laws
• Ensure good corporate governance is practiced and are being exercised
• Build an organization that attracts and retain talents to ensure critical business processes are highly efficient and effective
• Assemble and empower a high performing team.
• Ensure regular communication of key imperatives
