Job summary

DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Area Executive to drive sales performance and operational excellence across F&B retail outlets in Miri, Bintulu, and Brunei. You will supervise outlet PICs, manage costs, and ensure compliance with SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards while leading recruitment and training efforts.

The role requires at least a diploma or degree in Business, 1 year of relevant experience, and the ability to travel across the stated regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience as an Area Executive in the F&B retail chain industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with demonstrated fluency in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Miri, Bintulu, and Brunei.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales-generating activities across assigned outlets to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Supervise outlet PIC performance to ensure SOPs and operational standards are followed.
• Monitor and control outlet operating costs including expenses and labour costs; perform monthly cash audits.
• Ensure outlets achieve strong OEA results through high operations and service standards.
• Oversee inventory management including stock count, ordering, usage, and wastage control within KPI thresholds.
• Lead outlet recruitment, staff placement, and manpower planning for regular and peak periods.
• Monitor outlet attrition and ensure compliance with labour laws in HR matters.
• Ensure products are prepared per SOPs and outlets meet hygiene and food safety standards.
• Plan and facilitate training and service improvement activities to sustain customer service standards.
• Address and resolve customer complaints to protect brand reputation and prevent recurrence.
• Drive execution of advertising and promotional activities and report progress to management.
• Cascade KPIs to outlet PICs and teams through structured goal setting and reviews.
• Lead and develop team members in Retail and Outlet Operations in line with DKSH standards.
• Handle administrative duties including new outlet set-up support, promotional counter activation, and upkeep.
