Job summary

CIMB is seeking a seasoned ECMS leader to drive strategy, planning and execution across Malaysia and the region. You will develop pitches, originate deals, and coordinate cross-functional teams including country coverage and product bankers.

The role focuses on growing revenue, managing underwriting and private placements, and maintaining strong regulatory compliance while collaborating with regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics or equivalent.
• Experience in regional and Malaysian ECMS focused roles in established financial institutions is required.
• Proven ability to drive revenue and customer portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, motivate and lead an effective ECMS team and regional specialists.
• Oversee underwriting arrangements, private placements and IPOs.
• Review proposals and manage risk exposure for underwriting commitments.
• Represent the department in CIMBG committees and collaborate across countries to share best practices.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
