Job summary

CIMB is seeking a senior investment banking professional to lead and coordinate end-to-end deal execution across M&A, ECM, DCM and structured products. You will originate high-value mandates, manage senior client relationships, and align cross-functional teams for complex transactions.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge in Malaysia, proven leadership, and a track record of delivering multi-workstream deals in cross-border contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or Professional Qualification in Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics/Engineering or equivalent
• CMSRL license is required
• 12–15 years of investment banking, corporate finance advisory or transaction advisory experience
• Proven track record of originating and executing complex transactions across M&A, ECM, DCM, structured/hybrid, capital raising and restructuring
• Experience leading deal teams and coordinating multi-workstream execution
• Strong regulatory knowledge for Malaysia (SC, Bursa Malaysia, Bank Negara) and cross-border frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of transactions including deal structuring and due diligence coordination
• Originate and originate tailored mandates across M&A, ECM, DCM, and related products
• Coordinate internal product partners and external advisers (legal, tax, technical, accounting)
• Lead deal teams and manage multi-workstream execution across sectors
• Promote cross-selling of wholesale banking solutions in partnership with coverage and product teams
