Job summary

CIMB is seeking a skilled Relationship Manager in Malacca to actively lead the management of a portfolio of existing commercial business customers. You will deepen relationships, identify opportunities, and ensure lending and service quality align with the bank's objectives.

You will conduct credit analysis, manage risk, and coordinate with product teams to drive cross-sell while maintaining compliance with KYC and due diligence requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a portfolio of commercial banking clients.
• Strong credit assessment and proposal-writing skills.
• Knowledge of KYC processes and due diligence.
• Ability to develop new business while maintaining existing relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead profitability analysis and account strategy for current clients.
• Be the first contact for queries on credit, deposits and products.
• Develop relationships with key decision makers (CEO, CFO, Head of Treasury).
• Identify prospects and onboard new customers with proper due diligence.
• Prepare credit presentations and memos for approval per policy.
• Coordinate with product lines for cross-sell opportunities.
• Conduct periodic health checks and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Monitor asset quality and address early warning signs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
