Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Regional Electrical Leader to govern electrical infrastructure across Southeast Asia data center operations.

You will drive engineering standardization, maintenance strategies, and risk management while acting as SME for critical electrical systems and incidents. You will lead commissioning, handover, and ongoing reliability efforts, coordinating with OEMs and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the regional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in electrical engineering, facilities operations, or critical infrastructure.
• SME for complete electrical infrastructure lifecycle from utility interface to LV distribution.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, generators, UPS, batteries, PDUs/RPPs, busway and earthing systems.
• Experience leading incident response, RCA, and permanent corrective actions across regional operations.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70/70E and local SE Asia electrical regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional electrical leadership and governance for data center electrical infrastructure across Southeast Asia.
• Drive consistency in engineering standards, maintenance strategies, and risk management.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of critical electrical infrastructure (HV/MV/LV, transformers, switchgear, UPS, gensets, batteries).
• Act as regional SME and escalation point for complex electrical issues and incidents.
• Lead RCA and ensure corrective actions are implemented regionally.
• Support commissioning, energization, and handover from project delivery to operations.
