Job summary

DayOne is seeking a Regional Mechanical Operations Leader to coordinate mechanical ops across Southeast Asia data center sites, ensuring high uptime, standardization, and risk controls. You will own liquid cooling readiness, including CDUs, secondary loops, and heat exchangers, while guiding site teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10 years in mechanical engineering or facilities operations, preferably within data centers or mission-critical environments.
• Experience leading regional programs across multiple sites and governance of complex operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional mechanical operations across Southeast Asia data center sites with standardization and risk controls.
• Own regional liquid cooling readiness, including CDUs, secondary loops, manifolds, heat exchangers, leak detection, and maintenance procedures.
• Provide second-level technical support to site operations for complex cooling systems and related equipment.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance, analyze failure trends, and implement corrective actions across regional sites.
• Develop and maintain regional mechanical operating standards and maintenance playbooks.
• Support commissioning and handover for new sites, ensuring operational readiness of cooling systems.
• Monitor performance to improve energy efficiency, PUE, water usage, cooling capacity, and redundancy while maintaining uptime.
• Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant execution of works in live data centers.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety, and DayOne risk controls.
• Coach site teams and share best practices to build regional capability in chilled water and liquid cooling.
