Meili Resort Hotel Sdn Bhd in Semporna, Sabah seeks a Recreation Associate to organize and run daily leisure programmes for guests. You will assist with water activities, manage equipment, and provide safety briefings while coordinating with Boatman and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires friendly customer service, a can-do attitude, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a marine resort setting.

Qualificações

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in recreation, hospitality, tourism or related field would be an advantage.
• Experience in resort activities, water sports, snorkelling or outdoor programmes is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Chinese/Mandarin language ability is an added advantage.
• Friendly, outgoing, energetic and customer-service oriented.
• Physically fit and comfortable around water and in a marine environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Willing to be stationed at MEILI Resort Hotel, Semporna, Sabah.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in organising, coordinating and conducting daily recreational activities and guest programmes.
• Welcome guests and provide information about available resort activities and facilities.
• Assist guests with water activities such as kayaking, snorkelling and other sea-based activities.
• Prepare, arrange and maintain recreational equipment before and after each activity.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition.
• Provide proper instructions and safety briefings to guests before participating in activities.
• Monitor guest participation and ensure activities are conducted safely.
• Assist in coordinating island excursions and sea activities with Boatman and departments.
• Maintain cleanliness of recreational areas, pool surroundings and facilities.
• Assist with setting up equipment for resort events and entertainment.
• Attend to guest enquiries, requests and feedback in a friendly and professional manner.
• Report damaged equipment and safety concerns to supervisor.
• Work with Front Office, Boatman, Lifeguard and other departments for smooth operations.
• Be flexible to work extra hours, weekends and holidays as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

A. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in organising, coordinating and conducting daily recreational activities and guest programmes.

Welcome guests and provide information about available resort activities and recreational facilities.

Assist guests with water activities such as kayaking, snorkelling and other sea-based recreational activities.

Prepare, arrange and maintain recreational equipment before and after each activity.

Ensure all recreational equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition.

Provide proper instructions and safety briefings to guests before participating in recreational activities.

Monitor guest participation and ensure activities are conducted safely.

Assist in coordinating island excursions, snorkelling trips and other sea activities with the Boatman and relevant departments.

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of recreational areas, swimming pool surroundings and activity facilities.

Assist with setting up equipment and facilities for resort events, guest entertainment and special activities.

Attend to guest enquiries, requests and feedback in a friendly and professional manner.

Report damaged equipment, safety concerns and incidents to the immediate supervisor.

Work closely with the Front Office, Boatman, Lifeguard and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Be flexible and willing to work extra hours, overtime, weekends and public holidays according to operational requirements.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management from time to time.

B. JOB REQUIREMENTS
