SGI Vacation Club Berhad is seeking a dedicated Recreation Supervisor in Lumut, Perak. You will oversee planning, coordination and delivery of recreation programmes to elevate guest experiences in our vacation club.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in recreation management, events coordination or hospitality supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; more languages are advantageous.
• Certification or training in first aid and CPR is desirable.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Recreation Supervisor to join SGI Vacation Club Berhad, a member of the OSK Group. This is a full-time position based in Lumut, Perak, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy exceptional recreational experiences and activities. As Recreation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of recreation programmes that enhance guest satisfaction and engagement. This role is central to our mission of providing memorable holiday experiences and directly contributes to the success of our vacation club operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise a diverse range of recreational activities and entertainment programmes for guests of all ages and preferences
• Manage and coordinate recreation staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery and guest engagement at all times
• Monitor guest participation and feedback on recreational activities to continually enhance programme offerings
• Maintain recreation facilities and equipment, ensuring they are safe, clean and well-maintained
• Develop and implement creative recreational initiatives that align with seasonal themes and guest interests
• Liaise with other departments to ensure recreational programmes complement overall guest experiences
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security regulations across all recreation areas and activities
• Train and supervise recreation staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service and maintain professional standards
• Track recreation budgets and manage resources efficiently whilst maintaining quality standards
• Handle guest enquiries and complaints regarding recreational facilities and programmes professionally and promptly
• To offer, control and safeguard of all the recreational items offered to guest. You are required to report immediately to the supervisor if any of the item is/are found broken / missing / misuse.
• All recreational items to ensure are all secured and shall be responsible if the item found missing or damage due to negligence of care.
• Actively promote & upselling of the recreation activities, making arrangement and supervise the activity thoroughly.
• Any other assignments delegated by management.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in recreation management, events coordination or hospitality supervisory role, preferably within a resort, hotel or vacation club environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent organisational and planning capabilities with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in recreation and leisure facilities
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and recreation management software (preferred)
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are advantageous
• A creative mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt recreational programmes based on guest feedback
• Certification or training in first aid and CPR is desirable
• Based in SGIVC Damai Laut, Perak
