Job summary

CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD is seeking a Telecommunications Technician (Network Management) to carry out routine inspection and maintenance of railway telecommunications and network systems in the assigned maintenance area. You will assist in preventive and corrective maintenance ensuring safe, reliable operation of telecom equipment and information systems.

The role requires collaboration with the team, willingness to work on shifts, and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, ICT, Railway Communications, Computer Networks or related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; internship or industrial training in railway telecom or networks is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Willing to learn and develop technical skills; safety-conscious and proactive.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine inspection, testing and maintenance of railway telecommunications and network management systems in the assigned area.
Assist preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation of telecom equipment and information systems.
Monitor operational status and report abnormalities in a timely manner.
Identify and report faults, and assist in rectifying faults per maintenance standards.
Record maintenance activities accurately and prepare inspection reports.
Comply with safety procedures and railway telecom standards/work instructions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
