Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Trainee Telecommunications Engineer to contribute to railway signaling and communications projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will assist in network design, testing, documentation, and the preparation of technical bid content, working with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires a degree or masters in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, and proficiency with MS Office and diagramming

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with diagramming tools (AutoCAD, Visio, Lucidchart) and bid/document work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and validate telecommunications networks and security components.
• Prepare tender and proposal documentation focusing on technical aspects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors for project implementation and support quality checks.
• Assist in keeping bid documents well-formatted, accurate and ready for submission.
