T.T.E. Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd.

is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all pre-contract and post-contract QS activities in Malaysia. The role emphasizes robust cost control, tender evaluation, and commercial oversight across projects. You will prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender submissions, and commercial proposals; review drawings and contracts; negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors; administer contracts; monitor costs, variations, claims, and final accounts; and

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, M&E.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
• Evaluate and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports and commercial performance reports.
• Negotiate variations, claims, and contractual matters with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
• Ensure timely submission of progress claims and collection of payments.
• Lead dispute resolution and contractual negotiations when required.
• Provide commercial advice and recommendations to management and project teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and commercial objectives.
• Support tendering activities from commercial perspective.

Job Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, or related field.

3 years & above of relevant experience in the construction, engineering, M&E industry.

Experience in tendering, cost estimation, budgeting and procurement.

Proven experience in handling variation orders, claims, EOT applications and final accounts.

Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software.
