T.T.E. Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd.

is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage pre-contract and post-contract QS activities in Malaysia. You will prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender submissions and commercial proposals, and monitor costs to ensure projects stay within budgets. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, administering contracts, negotiating variations, preparing monthly cost reports, and providing commercial advice to project teams.

Job description

Manage all pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.

Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.

Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.

Evaluate and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.

Monitor project costs, cash flow, variations, claims, and final accounts.

Prepare and review monthly cost reports and commercial performance reports.

Negotiate variations, claims, and contractual matters with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.

Ensure timely submission of progress claims and collection of payments.

Lead dispute resolution and contractual negotiations when required.

Provide commercial advice and recommendations to management and project teams.

Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and commercial objectives.

Support tendering activities from commercial perspective.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Over 3 years of relevant experience in the construction, engineering, M&E, HVAC or EPC industry.

Extensive experience in tendering, cost estimation, budgeting and procurement.

Proven experience in handling variation orders, claims, EOT applications and final accounts.

Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software.
