We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our construction project team in Ulu Tiram, Johor. The successful candidate will be responsible for project cost control, quantity measurement, tendering, subcontractor management, progress claims, variation orders and other commercial matters throughout the construction project lifecycle.
Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
Assist in tender preparation, quotation evaluation and subcontractor/supplier selection.
Monitor and control project costs, budgets and expenditures throughout the construction period.
Prepare and evaluate progress claims, subcontractor claims and payment certificates.
Manage Variation Orders (VO), additional works and contractual claims.
Conduct measurement and valuation of completed works based on drawings and site progress.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
Maintain proper cost records, contracts, quotations and supporting documents.
Assist in project cost reporting, final accounts and project close-out.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Experience in building, industrial construction, M&E or large-scale construction projects will be an added advantage.
Familiar with quantity take-off, BQ, tendering, progress claims, VO and final accounts.
Good understanding of construction drawings, contracts and project costing.
Good communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS / measurement software.
Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Mandarin communication skills will be an added advantage.
Willing to work in Ulu Tiram, Johor.
RM6,000 – RM8,000 salary package
