Job summary

AGENSI Pekerjaan TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. invites a Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor / M&E) to join our team in Malaysia. The role focuses on preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates for M&E works, and upholding our quality management systems.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering with at least five years in cost estimation, budgeting, tendering and quantity take-offs in a construction setting. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in construction environment in cost estimation, budgetary, tendering and taking off quantity.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated person and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Report to Senior M&E Manager.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities and Cost Estimates for M&E engineering works.
• Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the quality management system.
• Responsible in the M&E costing and contract.
• Assist in preparing variation cost, cost negotiation with clients/consultants/subcontractors and to finalize project account.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist Senior M&E Manager in providing cost comparisons and preparing M&E correspondence (draft).
• To implement project document control at headquarters level.
• Evaluating progress claims.
• Prepare project claim Schedules and coordinate project tenders.
• Must be highly capable in preparing and submitting tenders within time line required.
• To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.

Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 5:45pm; Alternate Sat, 8.30am – 12.15pm)

HQ Based Experience
